After completing my degree in Engineering at Liverpool University, I became a windsurfing instructor and loved every minute of it! Following a significant amount of time bumming around the world, I eventually got a proper job in the field of acoustics, as a consultant in Adelaide – that was over 30 years ago!
After numerous trips across the Nullarbor in the pursuit of wind and waves, we moved from Adelaide to Perth in 1993 and I worked for environmental consultancies and government agencies before taking over the spare bedroom and starting my own practice in 2001. Working from home gave me the flexibility to attend “board meetings” when the wind became strong in the afternoons. Opening hours were 8.00 a.m. til 20 knots J
Outside of the world of noise and vibration, my passions are mountain biking, diving, underwater photography and skiing.
