Originally from the ‘Far East,’ I grew up in the Central West region of NSW in a town famous for The Dish and the annual Elvis Revival Festival. As neither of these two things are very interesting, I preferred to play video games well and guitars poorly.

Fast forward through the rollerblading craze, Y2K bug, cargo pants and nu-metal… I found myself at ABC Ultimo working as an audio engineer and then commercial TV & radio in Sydney. Met an amazing girl from WA. Completed postgrad study at USYD (Master of Architectural Science – Audio and Acoustics) and transitioned into acoustics at a large multi-disciplinary consulting firm.

Environmental noise and larger infrastructure projects were the first half of my acoustics career and more recently its been architectural acoustics. Remember that girl from WA? Well, we got married! We had some kids and moved to Perth post-COVID once the borders reopened.

We live ‘south of the river’ with 3 kids and a dog named Basil. If I had any spare time, I would probably enjoy outdoor sports like rock climbing or learning how to kite surf.
